Suica or Pasmo card for kids

Hello!

We will be in Tokyo next week with a 6 year old kid.
We are interested in buying a Suica or Pasmo card for him too. I suppose that to take advantage of kids fare we need a MySuica or a Registered Pasmo card, is it correct?
If yes, is it possible to buy such cards for kids at a vending machine or do we need to go to a ticket office? If we have to go to ticket office, is it possible at Narita Airport?

Yes there are suica and passmo cards for kids. You can get them at a ticket office, and narita airport ticket office should be fine for this. You’ll need ID to prove your child’s age, and I think the age limit is 12.
